24th August 2006 – SalesTrak Limited Sells 25% Stake to Aspiration Capital Management
Aspiration Capital Management LLP has acquired a 25% stake in UK-based CRM software provider SalesTrak Limited for £100,000 (approx. US$ 190,000). SalesTrak is headquartered in Leeds and has two main software products: a sales process management product called SalesTrak© and a human capital management platform: SkillsTrak©. The company was established in 2002 and has a staff of six.
SalesTrak CEO Mark Donkin welcomed the investment:
"The backing of a VC fund is an important milestone for our company. The recognition of what we have achieved in terms of product development and building a blue chip client base is important. But more important is the additional R&D and marketing investment that this funding will facilitate."
Aspiration Capital Founder and CIO Dr Jeremy Howard commented:
“SalesTrak fits the profile of the kind of business we wish to support for our investors. The company’s products are robust, are targeted at a growing market where corporates are accustomed to paying significantly more for comparable applications, and are driven forward by a dynamic and determined young CEO. Mark Donkin brings a proven track record with Oracle to the table, and in SalesTrak he has laid the foundations for a potentially very successful venture."
