15th August 2006 – AgileJ Secures Investment from Aspiration Capital Management
AgileJ founder Paul Wells has created a truly unique application which allows Java coders to visualize their code on a real-time basis using 'agile' development methods. Aspiration Capital Management LLP saw the potential of both the platform and the founder and has acquired a sizeable minority stake.
Java developers number around two million around the world and every one is a potential customer for AgileJ.
Dr Jeremy Howard, Aspiration Capital’s Founder and CIO commented on the investment:
"We were very impressed by Paul Wells personally and we like what he has done with AgileJ. He has created a product with a wide economic moat and one that is in tune with the tide of Java developers. The ‘agile’ movement, in which the code is always compiled and always central to the process, now has a significant following in the development community. As this community grows, so does AgileJ’s potential for success."
